You Bring the Vehicle; Our Crew Brings the Lifting

Rental already booked and you’d just as soon do the driving? Then what’s left is the punishing part, wrestling the heavy stuff aboard and stacking it so the interstate doesn’t shake it apart. Hands-only help solves that one thing, nothing wider. Pull in with the unit you reserved, keep your keys, and the crew fills or empties it fast, packed snug with the weight spread nose to tail. Handing you the wheel is a deliberate call, and a big reason this stays one of the lowest-cost ways to put experienced hands on the job.

What Comes With It

  • Seasoned hands to stack or strip out the unit you’ve hired
  • A snug, evenly spread load engineered against drift on the road
  • Moving blankets and stretch film on whatever item warrants them
  • Dollies, tie-downs and floor protection arriving in our own gear bag
  • Big furniture and bed frames knocked down then reassembled

How the Work Goes

The unit parks wherever there’s room while the crew sizes up every piece for weight and bulk, sets the densest items up front as ballast, and wedges the rest against that wall so nothing comes loose. If a piece breaks down to reclaim cubic feet, down it comes. Stripping the unit is just the same dance in reverse, things set in whatever room you point to and the knocked-down pieces put back together. When a storm blows through, we tarp the ramp and walk and lay protection before a wheel turns, because a loaded dolly sliding off a wet ramp is exactly the road from a do-it-yourself move to the ER. A downtown or beach high-rise job runs inside your reserved freight-elevator block so the rental doesn’t sit there burning your time.

The One Firm Limit

Plainly, none of the driving is ours. Piloting the truck, towing a trailer, moving a POD from one address to another, all of that lands on you or the rental company, period. The unit and its fuel are your line item too, and loose, unsealed belongings stay outside coverage unless you sealed them or we filmed them first.

Pricing

Billing runs on the clock, starting at $125/hr for two movers under a two-hour minimum, usually the most wallet-friendly path to a capable crew. A heavy inventory or a climb of several floors often justifies a third pair of hands at $175/hr, something we settle over the phone.

Tierra Verde to a downtown high-rise. Building was picky about insurance and Alpha had the certificate over to management same day I booked. Smooth.

Two-bedroom condo in Dunedin, slick floors and a tight turn at the landing. They padded the corners and got the sofa up without a mark. Flat rate, no surprises.

Service FAQs

The questions customers tend to ask once they book a job like this

Could your crew drive or move my POD from one address to another?
They can't. Booking hands-only buys lifting power and that alone, so the crew packs or strips while every mile of driving rests with you or the rental company. Splitting it this way is what keeps the clock rate low and leaves the unit fully under your control.
Besides rental trucks, are PODs and containers something you'll pack?
Either one, easily. U-Haul, Penske and Budget trucks all work for us, and so do PODs, 1-800-PACK-RAT cubes and freight containers right beside them. We turn out a tight stack pushed toward the front that rides the distance without creeping around.
Is it fine to bring you in only for the unload at the far end?
Totally. Plenty of folks drive the whole way and call us in strictly at arrival to strip the unit and carry everything inside, stairs and all. Reserving both ends, or just one end, is entirely your call.
What keeps the stack from shifting around once the truck is rolling?
We set the dense items flat against the front, build upward in layers, and tie off each layer, so a hard stop on I-275 doesn't hand you a gouged dresser at the door. Layer-by-layer tying is exactly the step almost every self-packed truck skips.
