How We Work a Building
The certificate reaches your manager first, then we lock the dock window and elevator early and order the load to fit whatever block the property hands over. Once we’re there the crew lines the route, protects the lobby, dock and stairwell, and reassembles beds and furniture as soon as it’s all up top. A downtown tower means staging the truck off the dock and running the freight elevator on the clock, so we pre-stage by floor and keep the carries moving inside the reserved block. When an afternoon storm hits, the protection runs from the doorway down the hall so tracked-in rain neither slicks the shared floor nor wicks into a carton’s underside.
A Pair of Things to Note
We won’t promise a window the building hasn’t cleared, and any after-hours access fee or elevator deposit the property charges stays your responsibility. Loose, unsealed belongings sit outside the inventory, so either seal them or hand them to the crew to pack, and in that case the wrapping costs nothing.
Pricing
On a flat basis a studio runs $380 to $560 and a one-bedroom $560 to $880, with a two-bedroom at $880 to $1,500. But stairs eat hours, so on a third-floor walk-up the hourly figure of $125/hr for two movers can finish cheaper; we work it up both ways and steer you toward the smaller bill.
